Salary: £16,574 - £17,649
Contract Type: Permanent, full time. 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The English and Maths Mentor will provide support to staff and learners, ensuring apprentices make progress and achieve functional skills up to level 2 and/or GCSE grade 4. This post will involve some travel to apprentice workplaces and requires the post holder to have a relevant driving licence and access to transport.
The ideal candidate must have GCSE English and maths at minimum grade C (4), as well as a level 2 support qualification, or be prepared to undertake training within the first year of employment. You will have accurate spelling and grammar skills, articulate communication, and appropriate English and maths knowledge to support skills development at level 2. Ideally, you will have previous work experience in an educational setting.
