Sense is looking for a reliable and motivated person to join our
professional team as a Team Leader (Social Care) at our service in
Glastonbury. This is a part time position, working 22.5 hours per week
in an accommodation service. This is a fixed term position for 12
months, after which the role will be reviewed.

About the role

The Team leader will need to manage the day to day running of a
responsive innovative and high quality service for people with sensory
impairments and complex needs. Special attention will be paid to the
creation of a continuous learning environment that will seek to
maximise the potential of each person.

You will assist the manager in the running of the service including
co-ordinating and supervising the team to ensure that all shared
responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained.

We will be shortlisting and conducting interviews as applications are

About you

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate willingness to
participate in training and development. You will need to communicate
in a variety of different methods and be prepared to deal with
challenging situations. You will also be expected to work on your own
initiative and show patience and understanding.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of motivating
others including carrying out supervision meetings. You will have
experience of working with adults with disabilities, monitoring the
care provided and identifying and resolving issues arising from the
'day to day' operation.

A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential
requirement for this role.
