Logistics Support Coordinator (6 Month FTC), Leeds

...a great opportunity to recruit a Logistics Support Co-ordinator to join the Commercial Logistics Team based at our friendly and recently refurbished offices in Leeds. Whilst this is initially employed on a 6 month fixed term contract it does potentially open the door for other future roles at Head Office.

As Logistics Support Coordinator you will provide comprehensive support and policing within logistics on all matters relating to customer service. Establishing effective logistics customer service reporting whilst highlighting issues and best practice, you will drive action and accountability for service improvement within the function.

In addition this role will also include processing claims in an efficient manner ensuring that all relevant documentation and systems are appropriately updated.

Liaising internally and externally with transport, hauliers and the customer along with the relevant Account Managers and planning groups, you will provide reports for the management team on the claims status in relation to outstanding, pending and retrieved. In addition you will assist in the continued improvement of the site claims procedures when required.

Further responsibilities within this role will include establishing robust and meaningful customer service reporting on logistics performance, identifying issues and hotspots affecting customer service. You will manage comprehensive customer service reviews with operational, planning and commercial customers, to support and challenge on current issues and opportunities.

You are

...an excellent communicator with previous experience within a customer service environment, ideally gained within a logistics/manufacturing setting. With a great attitude and positive outlook, you will come with a desire to be recognised for your achievements being both team orientated and driven to achieve goals. With a strong work ethic and desire to succeed, you will be looking for a chance to work in a fast paced environment in which change is embraced.

Strong administration skills/attention to detail and proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, you will be very comfortable working with data and spreadsheets. You will also be required to demonstrate a flexibility to working hours and days in addition to covering other duties within the department as necessary.
