I am recruiting an Interim Financial Controller for a business based near Chester. Reporting to the Financial Director this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and successful business on a temporary to permanent basis.
Role Summary:
- Ownership of the annual budget
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Provide variances analysis from budget
- Preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports
- All aspects of banking including supplier payments and reconciling the bank statements
- Financial management of projects
- Responsibility for the timely completion of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Dealing with accruals and prepayments
- Overseeing the credit control function
- Preparation of payroll data for submission to the payroll bureau
Key Attributes:
- The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, outstanding technical competence and a high level of commercial awareness.
- You will ideally be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified, although candidates suitably qualified by experience will be considered.
- You will have need to have previous financial control and management reporting experience.
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts software and have strong MS Excel skills.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a solid track record in a similar level finance role and must be available to start work on minimal notice. You will be focused and professional, someone who works effectively with a Senior Leadership Team and takes a proactive approach to finding effective solutions as well as taking responsibility for the day to day running of the small finance team.
