Technical Events Project Manager

Reach plc is looking to recruit a Technical Event Project Manager to join our team based in Malvern, although this role will be regional. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality technical management across a varied range of internal events in the Reach Plc event calendar. You will liaise with regional event managers, costing and delivering against a project brief within budget and deadline.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide clients with technical help/advice at all stages of the event planning process.
  • To ensure that the set, presentation equipment and lighting complements and enhances the message/s the client needs to deliver to its' target audience.
  • To ensure that as a representative of Event Services Team you provide professional set design and construction when required by the client within the agreed budget set.
  • To ensure that clients are provided with professional venue advice and liaison.
  • Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
  • To erect sets professionally at the event venue in line with all Health and Safety regulations.
  • To ensure all Event Services equipment is maintained to the minimum standard required and is stored securely in alarmed premises when not on site.
  • To help ensure that all electrical equipment is tested annually to comply with the law.
  • To fully read and understand the venue restrictions of Health and Safety whilst on site.
  • To ensure that all Event Services equipment is stored correctly in documented order for ease of access and insurance purposes.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous demonstrable experience within an Events role
  • Successful project management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of managing large audio/visual infrastructure
  • Experience in producing plans and providing feedback
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to budget and monitor spending
  • Ability to remain calm and respond positively to challenging situations and difficulties
  • An understanding of and commitment to your individual responsibility to comply with Health & Safety Policy and Welfare arrangements
  • Possess a full driving licence
