Description of Position
This company is looking for a RF, wireless network engineer with preferably reasonable experience in wireless testing and surveying, to join their existing operations team to be involved in both wireless installation/surveys as well as project management activities.
Work will be based both at our offices as well as multiple locations throughout the UK. Initially work will be focused on wireless surveying, testing and installation of new AP's in various Blue Chip organisation across multiple UK sites for sectors such as Aviation, Banking and Healthcare. Additional relevant training and encouragement to pursue wireless certification will be provided to the successful applicant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Surveying of existing WLAN installs
- New design surveys of WLAN deployments
- Installation and configuration of switches, routers and wireless equipment at customer sites
- Installation of network cabling and containment
- RF troubleshooting
Position Requirements
- Basic Understanding and Knowledge of wireless technologies
- Experience of Wireless LAN survey tools is essential (Ekahau or Airmagnet ideally)
- RF Design Experience (WLAN preferred)
- Networking or formal RF qualifications considered
- Project Management experience will also be considered
- Good PC Skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
- Work is UK wide and will involve travel
- Work may involve overnight or weekend work where required by the client
