An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and talented individual to join a growing tax team.

I am looking for a newly qualified or soon to be qualified candidate with experience in an accounting environment.

The successful candidate will be working with senior members of staff, providing assistance where required in a fast paced environment where good communication is essential, along with excellent time and deadline management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Managers/Directors/Partners with Tax planning and compliance work on selected clients
  • Cover both corporation tax and VAT compliance, as well as other tax-related statutory filings
  • Quickly become responsible for managing your own client portfolio

Skills/Expertise Required

  • Nearly qualified or newly qualified
  • At least 2 years' background in an accounting environment
  • Corporation tax knowledge
  • General tax treatment, deferred tax and at least some capital allowances, R&D and share scheme expertise
  • VAT compliance
  • Registration and returns and preferably import and export VAT, cross-border sales and MOSS experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Enthusiastic team player
  • Excellent time keeping skills and the ability to manage deadlines
  • Attention to detail

Skills/Expertise Desired

  • Interest in developing junior team members
  • Language skills
  • Tax consulting experience
  • Understanding of accountants, personal tax, payroll
  • Experience of managing a small client portfolio

Salary £35,000+
