We are looking for an experienced event’s organiser to join the hospice fundraising team and lead upon the organisation of the Hospice’s high profile events calendar. Such events include charity balls, mass participation and sporting events as well as profile raising activities.
The successful Events Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enabling St David’s Hospice to deliver further palliative care services to patients living with advanced illnesses in North West Wales, as the Hospice grows to meet the needs of our communities in the future.
Person Specification
- Enthusiastic self-starter and highly organised
- Commercially-minded and target driven
- Experience in events management or a related role
- A full driving licence and use of a car - essential
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary
Events Coordinator Duties
- Managing major hospice events from beginning to end
- Evaluating past events and carrying out risk assessments
- Raising the profile of the Hospice through events
- Ensuring that events are suitably promoted in the media
- Maximising the fundraising potential for events
