A Business Analyst role has become available in our International business unit working on Customs and Freight Forwarding.

About the role
Being responsible for gathering, evidencing and documenting the requirements, you will perform cost and benefit analysis associated with the project and you will assist the Programme Manager with business case development, project planning and deployment activities.

You will be setting up and facilitating workshops to gather information and prioritise, document requirements and/or user stories, investigating the as-is and to-be business processes.

Managing the stakeholders for each programme you will build relationships and work with them to identify business benefits and estimated benefit values and challenging where needed alongside managing IT requirements and working with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth running of the project. You will quickly become the subject matter expert of the project scope, objectives and planned delivery of the wider programme. Depending on the project you may work in a waterfall, agile or hybrid environment. When working in an agile environment so you should be able to define sprint goals working with the product owner.

In all roles you will have the opportunity to coordinate cross-functional delivery teams such as Finance, Operations, Sales, HR etc. You will also remove impediments where appropriote and highlight key blockers to the Programme Manager to meet customer requirements.

You will also seek regular feedback from the team to drive continuous improvement to the Sprint and/or project management process.

About you
You will have proven experience in a Business Analyst role across all stages of the project lifecycle in a wider Programme of a large complex organisation and have used the business analyst methods and techniques. You will have experience of documenting business requirements clearly and concisely, prioritising requirements as well as being able to assess the cost and benefit of the project and, to a degree, for the wider programme.

Ideally you will have experience of commercial customs, customs brokerage and / or cross border, freight forwarding. Your experience workng with cross functional teams such as Finance, Operations, Sales, Technology and HR will allow you to continously deliver required activities.
Having excellent communication skills, both written and verbal you will have proven stakeholder management skills and be comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders up to director level alongside having experience of running project and programme workshops. Being experienced in all Microsoft office packages you will also have a high level of awareness of a variety of IT software development methods.

A bachelors degree (or equivalent) or BCS/IIBA BA qualification is desirable but not essential
