We specialise in the supply of spare parts for aircraft as well as having a well-established exchange and loan programme. We have grown to become a recognised leader in the aircraft parts industry. 

The Broker / Trading Business Developer Role:

As Broker / Trading Business Developer you will be responsible for purchasing and selling aviation parts to commercial airlines both in the UK and overseas. 

The role demands a strong commercial focus, ensuring the company’s business objectives are met and margins are constantly evaluated and improved upon, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction at all times and at all levels. This will be done through your excellent sales abilities, effective communication and a high standard of quality.

The main elements of the role are to:

+ be accountable for achieving and exceeding an agreed sales target
+ build and maintain a multi-year pipeline of robust and qualified opportunities
+ respond to requests for quotations to customers within the shortest reasonable time
+ coordinate aircraft parts to support airline customers worldwide
+ implement a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales
+ negotiate agreements for contracts with customers and suppliers ensuring commerciality
+ implement best practice in sales and purchasing techniques
+ follow up allocated leads from marketing activity to identify and qualify opportunities and hold responsibility for, and ownership of, the entire sales process from purchase through to closing the sale
+ follow up on new enquires with potential customers, through regular contact patterns, to discuss opportunities and to understand their future direction
+ oversee the shipment of goods
+ maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and forwarders by providing support, information, and guidance researching and recommending new opportunities recommending profit and service improvements
+ implement the company’s sales strategy in partnership with the Commercial Manager
+ complete documentation and update systems
+ gather and analyse data on customer satisfaction with a view to developing this year on year
+ develop and streamline processes and practices to maximise sales performance
+ raise the profile of the business through active involvement in networking
+ make recommendations on future direction as necessary

About You:

You should have significant experience of operating in a sales role in a highly pressurised environment. Experience in the spares / parts sector ideally within aviation would be advantageous. 

You will need strong communication skills in order to take responsibility for providing effective and practical solutions to issues and be able to think on your feet and solve problems quickly. Attention to detail and sound judgement are a must, as well as a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. 

A proven track record in building relationships and delivering sales growth (new and repeat business) within time and budget whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times is essential
