Overview:

The Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Information Technology (IT) portfolio is responsible for the global technology roadmap to support the AFC Business client and the respective businesses in Deutsche Bank, in order adhere to regulatory requirements. The AFC Analytics Programme, as part of the AFC portfolio, is concerned with the Implementation of industry standard software with best of breed configurable rules modelling capabilities for the purpose of detecting, investigating and preventing financial crime and improving AFC controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and responsibility for producing conceptual and technical solution architecture deliverables to support AFC Sanctions List management requirements
  • Championing the engineering practice within AFC Sanctions List management, driving from inception to a fully embraced solution across the domain
  • Analysing requirements, modelling and produce fit for purpose Solution Architecture
  • Modelling the future state of architecture and providing good practices and guidelines
  • Helping to drive best practices in and may involve tactically supporting highest priority releases and/or enhancements to large or critical systems.
  • Implementing best practices around requirement gathering methodologies and requirement documentation procedures
  • Taking ownership for platform scalability and working with stakeholders to ensure that necessary capacity and Tech Roadmap compliance related requirements are dealt with on time

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A detailed understanding of Anti-Fraud/Financial crime legislation and governance requirements
  • Proven track record of delivery in the AML, Anti-Fraud and AFC Case management domains in addition to experience of package integration programs
  • Experience in leading architecture and design in a distributed Agile environment in addition to leading a global team including retention of high performing team members and managing performance
  • Proven first class architecture skills with appropriate, but pragmatic, process management skills applied with rigour and structure in adidition to experience of the software development life cycle and Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant technology knowledge and expertise in the AML and AFC domain and knowledge of the market place of standard solutions in this space
  • An understanding of the software development life cycle and the Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability to interface and converse at with staff at all levels including non-IT staff in globally diverse teams and within a Matrix organisation
  • A degree from an accredited college or university with an IT-related concentration (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
  • Ability to design complex technical solutions in an inclusive and participatory manner, to negotiate with and influence other design parties reconcile technical and business considerations in order to arrive at the optimal solution
  • Ability to grasp and manage complexity of the data integration environment, in both a business and technical sense, understanding data and process flows through data integration layer and downstream/upstream systems dependencies
