JOB TITLE: Nursery Nurse
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.85 per hour depending on experience/qualifications.
WORKING HOURS: Mon- Fri 7.30am-6pm - Working on various shift patterns - All year round
THE COMPANY: We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established nursery based in North End, Portsmouth committed to excellence in childcare, offering the highest standards of professionalism to their children. They provide a warm, safe, stimulating and caring environment where they can develop the children's physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills.
They provide a full day nursery and pre-school service for children aged 0 to 5 years.
THE ROLE:Izzie's Nursery are currently looking for a Nursery Nurses to join their team in north End, Portsmouth to look after the children, following the Early Years Foundation curriculum and taking part in various activities.
Key Responsibilities for the Nursery Nurse to include:-
• Working as part of a team with specific responsibilities relating to the children attending the Nursery.
• Have the ability to liaise and independently deal with external organisations and other agencies, professionally and as required.
• Assisting others with the planning and implementation of a range of activities to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Regularly monitor and evaluate the activities to suit each child's individual development needs through observations and keeping of development records.
• Preparing materials and equipment at the start of each session and clearing away at the end.
• Positive management of children's behaviour.
• Keeping and maintaining accident, incident and risk assessment records.
• Supervising the children at meal times, and feeding as necessary.
• Attend to the physical needs of all children
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for Nursery Nurse role will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare as well as sound knowledge of The Early Years Foundation Stage. You must be a flexible, reliable, caring individual with outstanding communication skills. You will be passionate about caring for children and have the ability to work with parents to ensure you achieve the best care and learning for their child. Newly qualified Nursery Nurses welcome to apply.

Key experience essential for the Nursery Nurse role:
• NVQ Level 3 in childcare essential
• Previous experience within a similar industry desirable for Nursery Nurse
• Team player
• Excellent communication and written skills
• A real passion for children and their development
• Flexible with working hours to meet business needs
• Proactive in own development
• Ability to complete written reports
