Working within a small team to ensure that all aspects of ISA administration are completed in a timely and efficient manner to both HMRC and FCA requirements. Cover will also be required on the Client Accounts department when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
- Ensuring all client subscription activity is completed correctly to HMRC guidelines
- Ensuring the processing of all client assets, stock and cash, is within CASS requirements
- Processing the transfer in and transfer out of clients to/from other plan managers, ensuring that this is to HMRC guidelines and providing clear updates to Investment Managers on its progress
- Ensuring all departmental stock and cash controls are applied correctly on a daily basis
- Providing updates to immediate reporting line on any issues that impact the above
- Assisting with the checking of controls for Transfers In from previous ISA Manager and ensuring we only accept qualifying investments
- Assisting with the checking of controls for Transfers Out to new ISA Manager
- Checking subscription activity has been completed correctly for continuous ISAs,APS, JISA and flexible ISAs
- Checking stock & cash controls
- Raising cash payment requests, ensuring these are processed to company policy and CASS requirements
- Banking of client money, ensuring this is processed to company policy and CASS requirements
- Ensuring closed accounts are monitored correctly
- Monitoring workloads and ensuring that all daily checklists have been completed
Qualifications, skills, experience and competencies required:
- Essential: 4 years industry experience in an ISA administration role
- Advantageous: Up to date and demonstrable knowledge of ISA guidelines including Additional Permitted Subscriptions, Flexible ISA, Continuous ISA Subscriptions, JISA
- Preferably holder of IOC (formerly known as IAQ) or equivalent CISI qualification
- Educated to minimum of A-level standard, with minimum of Grade C at GCSE English and Maths
- Well organised
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to maintain required standards when working under pressure
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good IT skills, especially Excel spreadsheets
