Due to expansion my client, an award winning manufacturing company based in Windsor, is looking for a Buyer to join their team.The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials and components and negotiating with suppliers in order to maximise performance and keep costs down.
Main Duties include:
*Managing stock levels and purchasing in line with manufacturing demands
*Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts
*Raising purchase orders and placing orders
*Chasing overdue orders and rescheduling deliveries
*Monitoring external suppliers' performance KPI's
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* A background within a similar role, gained within an electronics or equivalent environment.
* Competent using MRP systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
* Analytical with an aptitude for figures.
