The Organisation  

Our client is a leading independent day and boarding school that welcomes pupils from six weeks to 18 years. Generations of young people have achieved outstanding success with the school since 1840. 

They are now looking for three Nursery Practitioners to join their team on a full time basis, on a maternity cover contract or as a job share, working two – three days per week. The job share position is working term time only.

Your Role  

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be tasked with providing a high quality, caring, homely and secure environment for younger children to learn, play and develop.  

You’ll seek to build great relationships with the children, ensuring their wellbeing and learning experience is at the forefront of your activities, and build rapport with parents, other staff, the Governors, agency workers and school visitors.  

Your role will also include:  

- Assisting in the children’s’ education and ensuring their safety  
- Making written and verbal observations regarding the children’s development  
- Completing individual Early Years Foundation Stage profiles  
- Ensuring your work areas are clean, presentable, safe and stimulating  

About You  

To be considered as a Nursery Practitioner, no experience is required, however enthusiasm, the desire to learn and great communication skills are key.  

Ideal candidates will possess at least one of the following qualifications:  

- A Level 2/3 NVQ in Childcare  
- A relevant Early Years degree  
- A relevant teaching qualification such as Early Years Teachers or QTS Status  

Our client is interested in hearing from candidates who have been, or would like to become a, Nursery Practitioner, Qualified Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Assistant, Pre-School Practitioner, Room Assistant, Room Leader, Nursery Key Worker, or Early Years Key Worker.
