Business Analyst: - Based Northwich in Cheshire
18-24 Month Fixed Term Role
Would suit graduates from Computing, Business Management or Accounting and Finance with a strong underlying knowledge of business management, project management and finance would be ideal for these roles.
Co-ordinate, plan and perform analysis of processes and tasks across the entire Procurement Department including interfacing with Finance (P2P processes), Supply Chain (Logistics) and Stores (Stock control).
We're looking for someone who has some Business Analysis experience that can effectively and efficiently manage the definition, analysis, delivery and maintenance of business, project and system requirements. They'll support transformation and change projects for Procurement, Logistics and Stores. This is a wide and varied role that will look to deliver the digitisation and as far as possible automation of day to day processes and transactions, whilst ensuring sufficient governance and reporting is built into the solutions.
The responsibilities of the role will be wide and varied but will include:
Writing and designing process maps
Preparing business requirements, documenting 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes and delivering process flows
Assisting in the development and / or implementation of system solutions
Coordinating project input
Defining reporting structures to management
Formally documenting functions
Analyse and design new system processes
Articulate and present commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative.
Support the management of some day to day processes such as New Supplier Approvals, Approved Supplier Database,
Face off to one or many business areas understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary.
Work independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements and user/feature capabilities to provide options around design solutions
Lead in the Design processes of the digitisation of Procurement Processes to achieve the Procurement Strategy and help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered.
Support the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested.
Where applicable, during testing own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement and design working with key stakeholders
Where applicable work with functional or other business areas to implement, train and plan migrations of users and or transactions.
Facilitating workshops for a variety of internal stakeholders to identify high-level customer requirements.
Work with the procurement manager and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the application.
Participate in transitioning the requirements and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Has enough knowledge of specialist area to be credible with business users and other functions.
Some understanding of project methodologies, procurement processes and supporting system platforms e.g. SAP, Ariba, Lotus Notes,
Experience of preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis deliverables
Undergraduate degree (e.g. BA, BSc)
Previous experience of working in an IT enabled change environment
Any relevant professional qualifications such as BCS Business Analysis
Keen eye for detail
Work effectively and prioritise to meet deadlines
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to build a rapport with team members
Essential Skills
Design business solutions and Data analysis & statistical techniques
Presentation, documentation, process mapping, design and modelling skills
Requirements gathering, analysis and definition
Demonstrable experience of Business Analysis in a corporate function
Demonstrable experience of success within complex project environments
Significant technical understanding of Business Analysis frameworks, value cycles, business processes, business requirements and UAT methodologies
Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, in particular strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Proven ability to integrate well into a team and build relationships well with senior stakeholders
Proven analytical and sceptical mindset with an ability to develop solutions to technical problems
