We are looking for an experienced and passionate Junior Floor Housekeeper to join a fantastic team at the Lanesborough.

As a Junior Floor Housekeeper you will provide an exceptional guest service experience dealing with requests and queries in a professional and efficient manner. This role plays a key part in creating memorable experiences and must communicate guests' preferences and relevant information with every department for the guests' stay to be seamless. The Housekeeping department is key to ensuring the guests feel secure and safe in the knowledge that their guest room is treated with care and confidentiality, thereby creating the comfort of their home environment at The Lanesborough.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with Maintenance Department to ensure that all assigned areas are fully maintained and in perfect working order, checking all equipment and reporting any faults.
  • Liaise with Reception daily, to ensure that all requirements are carried out in relation to the Housekeeping Department; report daily any out-of-order rooms to Reception.
  • To carry out any other Housekeeping supervisory duties that may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or the Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Assign rooms and delegate jobs to room attendants on a daily basis.
  • To supervise all standards of cleaning and servicing by the room attendant and house porters, to ensure that the standards are maintained.
  • Ensure the flow of communication between Room Attendant, House porter, Supervisors and Butlers.
  • Any incidents occurring with guests and/or property should be reported to either the Executive Housekeeper, Duty Manager or Security.
  • Report any health and safety hazards that may occur in guest and staff areas to the Executive Housekeeper or Security.

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Previous experience within Front Office in a 4* or 5* establishment is essential and experience in the luxury London market would be preferred.
  • Experience in supervising a team
  • Excellent command of the English language and a second language would be preferred
  • Immaculate grooming standards
  • Show drive for Excellent Customer Service leading by example
  • Ability to work on own initiative is essential
  • Be available, flexible and willing to work a 24h roaster when required
  • Knowledge of Opera system would be preferred
