WR Fundraising Recruitment is proud to be working with an
inspirational, regional charity in recruiting for a Head of Community
& Events Fundraising to lead a small team in growing fundraising
income through a portfolio of sports and challenge events, community
fundraising activities and mass participation events.
This is a very exciting time for the charity with a new SMT,
development / fundraising strategy and future plans to redevelop their
facilities - therefore substantially increasing the services on offer.
As such, we're looking for an experienced community and events
fundraising professional to review and improve the existing activity,
build on the success of newly-developed initiatives, and identify
potential areas of growth.
You will be responsible for line management of the oversight of the
operational delivery of the community and events programme, setting
and managing budget and expenditure, and enabling the team to build
solid relationships with community fundraising supporters, as well as
personally maintaining networks.

GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum on experience

Duties to include:
* Lead team of at least 5 staff and a growing community fundraising
volunteer team.
* Develop and implement and lead a new community and events
fundraising strategy
* Support the community fundraisers in the development of new
products and engagement mechanisms to deliver income through
individuals and community groups.
* Encourage organisations within the community to organise, sponsor
and support fundraising activities
* Organising and managing central mass participation events
throughout the financial year to raise income and raise awareness
* Steward event participants and community supporters, encouraging
them to participate in challenge events, organise their own
fundraiser or become a regular donor/lottery member/ legacy
pledger
* Ensuring that all events are organised safely and comply with
health and safety policy.
* Ensuring that our events target a wide range of different/diverse
audiences across all communities
The ideal candidate will have:
* Fundraising leadership and strategic experience, and a strong
track record of delivering successful community and events
programmes
* Confident ability with budget management and tracking and
reporting on expenditure
* Experience of working with a volunteer network
* Proven events and/or community fundraising experience
* Proven experience of identifying opportunities, planning new
community based fundraising activities, supporter development and
mass participation events
* Proven experience of fundraising compliance requirements -
including health and safety, data management (GDPR), income
handling etc.
* Experience of cultivating and growing supporters through community
and event programs
* Experience of managing personalised and mass communications
through CRM systems
* Experience of marketing fundraising activities to cold and warm
supporters through a range of different channels
* Experience in managing and motivating staff and/or volunteers
