The Organisation

Our client is a leading independent day and boarding school that welcomes pupils from six weeks to 18 years. Generations of young people have achieved outstanding success with the school since 1840. 

They are now looking for an After-School Care Assistant to join their team on a part time basis, working during term time only.

The Role

As an After-School Care Assistant, you will help to run our client’s after school care service for children aged 4 – 11 years. 

Supporting the After-School Care Manager, you will: 

- Work with staff to create a stimulating, rewarding and safe environment for the children 
- Help to set up rooms and prepare snacks before the children’s arrival 
- Supervise the children as they eat tea, play games and take part in activities such as reading 
- Ensure that there is no un-authorised access to the after-school care areas 

About You

While no experience is required, to be considered, you’ll need: 

- A highly-organised approach 
- Excellent communication skills 
- Strong time-management abilities 
- To be enthusiastic with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude 

Ideally, you will have a childcare and/or teaching qualification, such as an NVQ Level 3 or QTS, but this is not essential. 

Other organisations may call this role After-School Care Assistant, After-School Club Assistant, After-School Care Co-ordinator, School Club Co-ordinator, Teaching Assistant, Childcare Assistant or TA. 

Please note, this is a part time role, working 15:15 – 18:15, Monday – Friday, during term time only.
