DAY MATRON VACANCIES
Required for September 2018, Cheltenham College is seeking to recruit a part-time Day Matron who can work three days per week, one of which is a Saturday, in a boys’ boarding house. The role of Day Matron is an important and highly rewarding position, requiring dedication and commitment; providing first-class pastoral support to boarders within thriving boarding houses.
Our boarding houses offer outstanding pastoral care to boarders and their families on a full and flexible basis, 7 days a week. The Houses combine the very best of traditional boarding with the latest approaches to flexibility. Boarding at College contributes greatly to the sense of belonging and homeliness, which runs all the way through our community.
The working pattern is as follows:
Mondays and Saturdays: 7:30am-6:00pm
Thursdays: 2:00pm-6:00pm
Total: 24 hours per week
Applicants should be organised, with a flexible and willing attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for dealing with young people in a close environment.
Salary: Based on £10.34 per hour + holiday pay.
