Assembly Operative
Manchester
£7.83 per hour
The main purpose of the role is the sewing of industrial materials to make a range of parts using technical specifications .
The main responsibilities are:
Assemble and sew a range of materials to make a variety of products mainly for the automotive industry using various automatic and non automatic sewing machines dependent upon the product
Threading preparation of machinery
Conduct Visual Quality Assurance Checks to ensure parts meet the required specification (first offs)
Day to day general maintenance of machinery
Weekly housekeeping and maintenance activities to machinery and work station (to 5S standards)
Follow Works Orders and Standard Operating Procedures
Manual Handling of materials (not heavy workload)
Follow Company Health & Safety Policy and Procedures at all times
Any other such duties as requested to you from your line manager
Skills & Experience Required,
Keen eye for detail
The ability to understand simple technical specifications
Numerate and Literate
Team Player
Ability to adapt to different types of sewing machinery
Adaptable and Flexible
