YMCA DownsLink Group is a supported housing provider with around 600 units of shared and self-contained accommodation within around 80 properties, across East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey. We are recruiting a Gardener/Maintenance Operative to provide a responsive grounds maintenance and maintenance service across supported housing projects and other buildings managed by the charity.
You will be required to carry out gardening and grounds maintenance work as required, assist in the day-to-day maintenance/repairs within the supported housing schemes, and efficiently manage and maintain stocks of gardening equipment and materials.

You must have substantial gardening experience, an understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable young people and the impact this has on behaviour, and an enthusiasm and genuine desire to help support the young people we work with.
You will need to have the ability to work alone and be capable of carrying out the physical aspects of the role.
