Cask & Keg Racker with Forklift

Beer enthusiast prepared to do the manual stuff and be the last person to touch the beer before it goes to the customer.

We need someone to join the Cask & Keg Racking team and build on the Skinner’s tradition of producing perfect high quality ale.  This is a 100% hands-on role and you’ll need to be able to manoeuvre casks weighing up to 8 stones and have enough IT savvy to track the movement of up to 11 different brews at any given time.

This team plays a key role in developing the Racking processes, so new ideas are always welcome as we look for ways to work smarter for maximum quality and minimum wastage.  As a critical part of the beer production process our Rackers work to the highest hygiene standards and are champions of Health & Safety.

You must have a forklift qualification and also forklift experience as stacking and loading casks is a vital part of the job.  You must also be a team person and be able to work with others to agreed standards and be open to training and development.  And if you’re going to join us you must already have some skills and experience of working to targets in a manual environment.

Could you be the vital link between the Brewers and the Drivers, responsible for transferring 4000 litres of beer from a conditioning tank into casks & kegs ready for the Drivers to deliver to our customers?

  • Are you a qualified & experienced forklift operator? (Essential)
  • Do you want to learn more about beer production?
  • Are you looking for a role with responsibility?
  • Are you good at working smart?
  • Are you proactive?
  • Can you solve problems?
  • Can you stick to the rules?
  • Can you communicate with all kinds of people?
  • Do you want to play a key part in the Skinner’s tradition of producing perfect high quality ale?

If you can answer ‘yes’ to any or all the above AND you want to join the team that brews Cornish classics in this beautiful county then send your CV and covering letter by email.

We are waiting to hear from you.
