QC Technologist

Permanent opportunity for a QC Technologist required in Halesworth to start asap!

Full time Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

*Offering a starting salary around GBP19,000 per annum!

The Job:
Assisting the Quality Supervisor in ensuring that all products are produced and filled to the customer approved specification and to an acceptable quality. Working in conjunction with other members of the team, Filling and Production staff. Carrying out testing on bulk manufactured products. Ensuring the Company's QC procedures and policies are being followed in all areas at all times.

QC Technologist Job Duties:
* Carrying out line checks on filled finished products, checking packaging, labelling, batch coding, weights and general appearance are all correct
* Carrying out testing of bulk manufactured products ensuring they meet specification, seeking advice from chemists when needed
* Carrying out inspection of components, labels and raw materials as required
* Maintaining Quality Control records
* Assisting the Quality Supervisor to ensure a high level of Quality Control is maintained at all times and that all procedures are being adhered to
* Undertaking QC checks and producing reports (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) for hygiene in production, warehouse, storage, laboratory areas and other areas
* Working with the Quality Supervisor on non-conformance reports and quality systems - ISO9001, 14001, BRC & BS22716 with the view of continuous improvements
* Record keeping
* Calibration of PH meters and viscometer as required
* Maintaining the Laboratory equipment

Essential Requirements:
* Must have 3-5 years experience in a FMCG environment
* Experienced in Quality Systems - ISO9001 & BRC
* Organising, planning, literacy & numeracy skills and attention to detail
* Excellent spoken and written communication & interpersonal skills
* The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Good standard on Microsoft packages , particularly excel, outlook, word
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as be self motivated
