E-Serve is the delivery arm of Ofgem, the regulator of Britain's gas and electricity markets and is helping to shape the future of the energy market - delivering better energy efficiency through renewable energy sources, and protecting the interests of energy consumers. If you choose to be part of our London based team you can expect plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience, with the professional support you need to reach your full potential.
This role provides support for the administration of two of our energy schemes: the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Warm Home Discount (WHD). You can expect to be involved in a wide variety of work, from reviewing data submitted by energy suppliers to assess if they meet the schemes' criteria, to responding to queries from suppliers and other stakeholders. You'll undertake a range of administrative duties on behalf of the team, such as co-ordinating and taking team meeting minutes along with testing new processes or IT systems.
It's essential that you can work accurately with large volumes of data - a keen eye for detail, confidence working with numbers, and good Excel skills will be of value. As well as offering proven customer service expertise, you'll need strong communication skills, both in person and in writing and you should be able to work well as part of a team. You should also be comfortable prioritising your own workload and be able to apply a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and shifting priorities.
Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:
- Up to 30 days' annual leave
- Excellent training and development opportunities
- The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
- Flexible working hours and family friendly policies
- Subsidised gym and restaurant (London only)
- Interest free season ticket loan.
Closing date: midnight, 23 rd July 2018
Ofgem is an equal opportunities employer. Protecting consumers and powering the future of the energy debate.
