INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER / PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Due to recent expansion, my client currently has a fantastic & exciting
opportunity for an experienced INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER to join the team at
their manufacturing plant in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Manufacturing Manager in the effective running of the
department in line with company budgets and key performance indicators.
• Design new systems, equipment and manufacturing processes for existing
product range.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by evaluating and planning work flow,
space requirement and equipment layout.
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting and summarising
information and trends.
• Implement value engineering techniques to the department
• Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods and
testing of finished product.
• Establish standards within the manufacturing process.
• Liaise with NPD and R&D departments to ensure successful implementation
of new products into the department.
• Identify faults, investigate problems and repair equipment quickly and
efficiently.
• Plan and organise maintenance of equipment.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers when required.
• Organise plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss
of production time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Qualified in a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline
* In-depth knowledge of MRP systems.
* Ability to work across disciplines, to communicate effectively at all
levels, work as a team member as well as a leader.
* Motivated to bring about improvements
* Broad engineering knowledge, including engineering drawings
* Proven track record of improvements & cost savings
