Our Requirements The Dispute Resolution team in Edinburgh and Glasgow comprises a dynamic, industrious and personable group of lawyers who are busy with interesting and varied work. The team adopt a proactive approach to the resolution of disputes using all forms of dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation to achieve the most effective result. We are now looking for a credible and experience Associate or Managing Associate to work alongside the existing team. The Role The role entails a diverse and interesting range of litigation work including property, general commercial/contract and insolvency litigation. The breadth and quality of work available ensure this will be challenging and interesting role offering great career opportunities. The successful candidate will be used to working independently and be self-motivated. As this role will involve a high level of client contact, the right candidate will also possess very good client handling and interpersonal skills and will demonstrate a proven ability to manage own files effectively as well as working as part of a team. Skills and knowledge required You will have: At least three years of post-qualification experience of supporting cases across a broad range of commercial litigation issues with experience of cases in both the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session The ability to actively support complex matters, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed The ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group (whether that be to training, precedents, or know-how generally) A proven record of a high standard of client care for existing clients at the highest level.
