We are looking for a CNC Miller to join our small but highly skilled team at Redmayne Engineering in Lymington.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting CNC machinery and tooling
• Machining parts to specification and to customer requirements using detailed drawings and layouts provided
• Conducting first-off inspections
• Ensuring routine maintenance and calibration is carried out in accordance to approved methods

Applicants should:

• Have experience working of metallic machining
• Possess the ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Have good verbal and written communication skills, at all levels
• Possess solid mechanical / engineering knowledge, within an engineering apprenticeship

Redmayne Engineering - Lymington
39 HOURS PER WEEK - Monday to Thursday - 07.30 - 16.30 and Friday 07.30 - 12.30 (1/2 HR LUNCH)

JOB PURPOSE:

Working within a modern workshop, machining aerospace precision parts to customer specifications and within ISO 9001 quality standards.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Setting CNC machinery and tooling
• To machine parts to specification and to customer requirements using detailed drawings and layouts provided
• Conducting First-off Inspections to customer specifications
• Ensuring product accountability/traceability
• Understanding and operating various CNC operating systems
• Ensuring routine maintenance and calibration is carried out according to approved methods
• Ensuring the work area conforms to the company 5S standards
• Report components/machine non-conformances to Production Control / Inspection
• Updating cell boards as appropriate
• Ensure that all work is completed to the production schedule
• Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment
• Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems
• Possible travel within the UK to other acquisition companies

• Knowledge and experience of metallic machining
