Salary: £18,180 to £35,350 plus London Allowance

Homes England is the new national housing agency, recently launched to play a major role in fixing the housing market and enabling delivery of homes that our country needs.
Homes England bring together land, money, expertise, and planning & compulsory purchase powers, with a clear remit to facilitate delivery of sufficient new homes, where they are most needed, to deliver a sustained improvement in affordability. They work locally in individual communities to help meet local priorities.
Reporting to the Corporate PR and Media Manager, you will be integral in the delivery of proactive and reactive corporate activity across print, broadcast, online and social media. You will lead on national stories relating to our growing land and investment activity, including high-profile areas such affordable housing, modular construction and quality of place.
We are looking for someone with a sharp news sense, strong political awareness and outstanding media and content skills.
You will have regular face to face contact with the CEO, Chairman, Directors and other experts as well as supporting government departments in the planning and management of Ministerial announcements and visits.
You will take the initiative in seeking imaginative ways to generate proactive coverage for our work, as part of longer-term handling strategies that set the agenda across the full range of channels.
You will deal with corporate reputation issues, responding to breaking news stories, managing interview bids and issuing swift, robust and appropriate responses.
You will support the PR and Media Manager co-ordinate the external communications grid, working closely with the Local Communications teams and helping to link delivery successes with national priorities, especially for specialist and national media. The grid will be shared regularly with our Executive Team and government press leads.
You will use the full range of channels in promoting our priorities, maximising digital tools and using relevant insight to get the best possible results. We are looking for someone who is comfortable using Twitter and other social media and who can help us develop our use of videos and other multimedia to expand our content.
You will work with our Marketing team to support long-term campaigns with media stories and topical content. You will also work with the conferences and events leads in the Marketing team, maximising our presence at industry conferences and creating content around our own events. You will regularly accompany the CEO and Chairman at high-profile conferences to provide media handling and share their insights through our social media channels.
Working for an increasingly commercial arm of government, you will be comfortable with handling complex information and explaining it in plain but accurate language.
