Based in Stoke on Trent with easy transport links from the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands, Stoke on Trent College is the largest provider of further education in Stoke and North Staffordshire, with around 10,000 students each year on full-time and part-time study programmes, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university-level courses. The Art & Design department at Stoke on Trent College has enjoyed substantial growth in recent years and an investment in specialist resources has enabled the course team to deliver a range of programmes over levels one, two and three.

We are looking for a qualified teacher (PGCE, DTLLS or Cert Ed) with teaching experience in further and/or secondary education; you will bring practical teaching experience together with a broad and comprehensive understanding of Art & Design techniques. The ideal candidate will have taught general art & design and have an individual specialism in ceramics and or textiles/Fashion; experience of teaching UAL across L1 to L3 would be an advantage.

You will be able to work as part of a team in developing teaching styles and resources; you will also have sound administration and organisational skills. Your enthusiasm for pursuing your own personal learning will be matched by an imaginative and empathetic approach to teaching, retaining, and inspiring students.
