OUR COMPANY

SSE is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK and a successful player in the UK energy supply business with around 10 million customers across our various brands.

Our Large Power Metering team are responsible for the installation and maintenance of CT metering consisting of over 20,000 meters in businesses ranging from small factories to large power stations.

THE ROLE

You will undertake a structured training program and subject to successful completion will be integrated into an existing team of specialist operatives involved with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of complex CT, LV and HV metering systems and associated communications equipment.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in the role, you should Have a good knowledge of electrical systems, or have significant experience of 3 phase metering. You must follow stringent safety standards and be computer literate and a great problem solver. You could be working alone or within a team and therefore you should possess excellent interpersonal skills.

This role will involve working across Aberdeen/ Inverness and the north highlands and Islands. You may be required to train and work at various locations throughout the Country to support our business needs. This could involve extensive travel and periods when staying away from home is necessary therefore, a flexible approach to working hours is needed.

Due to the level of mobility required in this role, you must have a full driving licence.
