Are you an accomplished Quality Control Manager with a strong
understanding of the manufacturing industry? Have you got a good
comprehension of ISO9001/ISO14001 requirements? We are looking for an
experienced Quality Manager who is willing to take a hands on approach in
the lab and develop the role of the Quality Control Manager for this
leading global manufacturing company. Experience in paints and adhesives
and similar products within a QC Lab would be beneficial.
Quality Control Manager responsibilities:
* Candidates will need to be able to carry out Quality Control
Laboratory testing and will be trained in the test methods used
* Manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department of the
business
* Support Managers and staff in understanding, developing and
maintaining client procedures to the benefit of the company
* Assist staff to compile and maintain quality records
* Liaise on Quality issues with colleagues regarding customers and
suppliers
* Produce monthly Quality Assurance reports: progress achieved, new
projects started, procedural and Quality Control improvements made
* Produce Annual Packaging Waste Report for the Environment Agency and
maintain records
* Provide IT support for Quality Assurance and Quality Control records
* Record and maintain for Raw Materials: Specifications; Certificates
of Conformity and analysis, retained samples; inspection and test
records and relating Quality Inspection records.
* Record and maintain for Packaging; reference samples and
specifications; inspection and test records and relating Quality
Inspection records.
Quality Control Manager person specification:
* Quality Management experience (essential)
* Excellent communications skills
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks
* Experience of Microsoft Office and databases
