Team purpose and structure The marketing technology and digital team implements and manages the firm's integrated marketing information systems and digital marketing communications channels. The digital channels include our public and client websites, email marketing, mobile apps, content libraries, social media, blogs, RSS feeds and news aggregators. The team is also responsible for the technologies that support core BD and marketing processes, including but not limited to experience collection, contact management, pitching and opportunity management, CV management, events, client segmentation and marketing analytics. These two broad areas of marketing technology activity support each other and overlap, helping to provide a 360?? view of our interactions with a client. We also provide support to the internal communications team and wider marketing function on the firm's intranet platform. The team is based in London and Belfast and is part of the global marketing, business development and communications function. Role purpose This year, Allen and Overy are rolling out a new Communications strategy and investing in new enterprise technologies for digital marketing communications. The firm is moving to a more organised process for the production of content and the website will become the main focus of all Allen & Overy communications. This involves the launch of a new website on Sitecore in late summer as well as a new email marketing system called Vuture. The Digital Content Migration Assistant will be a member of the Marketing Technology Support team operating from the firm's Shared Support Services Centre in Belfast. The primary responsibilities of the role are in assisting with the organisation, migration, tagging and publishing of content from the current SharePoint and WordPress content management systems into Allen & Overy's new platform, Sitecore. Where possible, they will also be expected to assist the team of Digital Assistants in delivering business as usual support for the firm's global digital marketing channels (website and intranet content uploading and editing, email marketing support and analytics report generation). Key relationships Marketing Technology Team Lead Digital Marketing Manager Marketing Technology Workflow Coordinator Other members of the marketing technology and digital team including the Senior Operations Manager and Senior Marketing Systems Manager Content authors and owners from across the organisation The central Communications & PR team, especially those involved in content marketing and editorial BD managers, executives and assistants based across the firm's network of offices The IT department, including key project and support team resources External suppliers Role and responsibilities The role involves: Reviewing and optimising content on SharePoint and WordPress and once it's in Sitecore, ensuring all migrated pages are checked, tagged and linked appropriately and visually meet agreed standard. Manually migrating any content that cannot be processed automatically, liaising with content authors where needed for approval. Creating and adding meta-data for key pages (that don't already contain meta-titles and descriptions). Ensuring essential content edits are tracked and migrated across to the new CMS in the build-up to launch Working closely with the Creative Services team to Source, edit, and re-size images for use in the new CMS. Acting as a support desk and responding to digital queries from internal stakeholders on the migration project. Supporting the rest of the digital support team in executing digital marketing campaigns across the range of supported channels, making content changes to web pages using the SharePoint and Sitecore platforms, including but not limited to: posting and updating articles, news stories, events, profile pages, press releases and sector, practice or location pages on public websites and the intranet. Effective tagging of content on allenovery.com and intranet news pages. Key requirements Previous experience of assisting in a new website project or content migration project is desirable. Strong editorial and grammatical skills. In-depth knowledge of digital and SEO techniques. Experience of Sitecore and SharePoint 2010 is advantageous. Organised with a strong attention to detail. Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task. HTML and CSS skills are desirable. A general background of managing digital assets and web technologies such as websites and apps Experience of web analytics packages (e.g. Siteimprove, Google Analytics) and of using the data for future improvement. Experience of editing images, video and other digital content for web. Enthusiastic, responsive, proactive and innovative. Good interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact with all levels and across cultures. Ability to work under pressure. Who we are looking for An experienced digital content migration specialist and digital marketing expert with a broad understanding of digital communications channels and digital analytics, preferably with broad sector or agency experience.
