Overall purpose of role

As a Resourcing Business Manager, you will become a member of the Global Resourcing - COO and Functions leadership team. You will support the broader leadership team in defining, communicating and delivering the Resourcing strategy and project management key initiatives to support delivery of the strategy. You will provide performance oversight and finance / headcount management. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, across HR and pan-Barclays as well as external parties where appropriate.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and deliver business critical and/or confidential actions to support the Resourcing and HR Strategy
  • Develop responses to Senior Exec requests for deep dive business performance updates and support the team to define solutions and recommendations
  • Translate complex data and operational challenges with interpretative thinking into a clear set of actions, a strategic road map and ground-breaking solutions
  • Creation and communication of a wide range of Business materials (presentations, speaking notes, etc.) spanning multiple functions and topics
  • Responsibility for financial and headcount management across the COO and Function Resourcing function.
  • Ensuring that all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies
  • Manage relationships with external contacts, including key suppliers on an as needed basis
  • Continually improve processes / procedures and promote best practice across the Resourcing function, including driving and communicating the most cost effective and innovative solutions
  • As part of the global COO Resourcing team, be involved and help drive wider group-wide resourcing initiatives as appropriate

  • Technical & professional HR / Resourcing knowledge with a strong understanding of Financial Services
  • Ability to think strategically at a broad organisational level
  • Strong project management skills
  • High level of personal organisation with ability multi-task, and execute at speed without direct line management control
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure, delivery focussed environment
  • This role will need to be flexible to support changing levels of business activity

Experience

  • End to end recruitment experience, ideally from within a Financial Services environment
  • Experience of designing and implementing a strategy and vision
  • Experience of stakeholder management at a senior level and confident to represent area in senior meetings with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successful delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with dynamic and evolving environments
  • Ability to work in a matrix reporting environment with multiple stakeholders demonstrate capability to balance and prioritise competing demands
