We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for an established, busy manufacturing, client in the Leighton Buzzard area, working on a Rotating 2 Shift Pattern. (06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday and 14:00- 00:00 Monday to Thursday)
As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
1) Managing a team in a busy production environment.
2) Promote & implement lean, 5S & continuous improvement initiatives.
3) Maintaining Production volumes & product quality, by managing and tracking productivity using process mapping methods.
4) Ensuring Safe working practices & observing Health & safety requirements with Rules and Regulations adhered to.
5) Addressing disciplinary issues which might arise within the team.
6) Encourage a culture in which machines are maintained and cleaned by operators working within a continuous improvement environment.
7) Ensure immediate reporting of breakdowns.
8) Liaise effectively with maintenance department.
9) Be able to make appropriate decisions whilst following the company's organisational structure.
10) Arrange shift cover wherever necessary.
11) Motivate Operators within the manufacturing team to deliver the objectives of the production plan.
12) Wherever necessary be involved in disciplinary process.
13) Communicate effectively with Team Members through to Senior Management.
The successful Production Supervisor will possess the following skills & experience:
1) Supervising or leading teams within a production / manufacturing environment.
2) Managing shop floor related people issues.
3) Working with Lean & Modern manufacturing methodology.
4) Implementation of efficiency improvements, using continuous improvement techniques.
5) Experience of collecting and presenting KPI data to Team Members and Site Management.
6) Experience of working with Quality Management Systems.
7) High degree of Health and Safety awareness.
8) Background in an Injection Moulding/Vacuum Forming ideal, but not essential.
