Job Title: New Business Development Executive

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £18,000 – £25,000 per annum

Job Type: Flexible / Negotiable

Bonus: Monthly, quarterly and yearly bonus based on results

Holiday: 23 days per annum if f/t

The Company:

The Company is an established media and communications training company based in Reading, Berkshire. For over 30 years they have been designing and delivering bespoke media and communications training programmes that help senior executives make the most of any meeting with a journalist.

The Role:

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join their small, but successful Account Management team working with some of the world's largest brands.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the right candidate will have at least one year's B2B sales experience ideally in the training sector, while a background or interest in media, journalism, marketing or PR would also be advantageous.

They're looking for a hungry and motivated team player to help them grow their business. This would be the perfect role for an experienced sales person who needs to work around school hours or someone who wants to do full days but cannot commit to a full week. Alternatively, it could also be a full time role for a more junior candidate.

The successful candidate for this role will be comfortable making a high volumes of telephone calls to carefully selected leads and will have an open and enthusiastic approach to building client relationships. They will be outgoing and tenacious with bags of energy and enthusiasm. And will need to demonstrate resilience, determination and a positive outlook whilst working to pre-agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calling prospects to re-introduce services, understand requirements and build relationships
  • Using fresh data to find potential new prospects and clients
  • Developing existing sales approach to drive best results
  • Working to realistic targets on both call volume and results
  • Passing warmed up and qualified leads to the Account Management team for conversion

Key Requirements:

  • At least one year's B2B sales experience
  • A working knowledge or keen interest in media/PR
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Outstanding relationship building skills
  • A great work ethic
  • Confidence and self-motivation
  • A willingness to learn, be successful and contribute to a fun working environment.
