Digital Project Manager (Part-time)

A digital agency specialising in making websites, apps and digital products that help tackle health and social issues are looking for a highly organised, self motivated Project Manager to join their team focussing on delivering Tech For Good digital products.

The successful Digital Project Manager will be a strong team player with the ability to work independently, prioritising their own work and that of others when required.

You will plan the projects and provide clients with costings, timings and deadlines as well as updates on progress. You will ensure the work is scheduled with the team and that they are fully briefed on requirements, timescales and milestones. Excellent communication skills are critical to this role as you will be the key to ensuring the client's needs are understood and delivered by the team. This is a delivery focused position, and a vital role for the studio.

This role is part time - 20-25 hours per week (flexible / negotiable)

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and planning digital projects in an Agile-inspired way
  • Planning and scheduling the team’s time across multiple projects using sprint plans
  • Attending client meetings and relaying key messages to the team
  • Ensure the requirements are clearly captured and understood
  • Regular communication and liaison with clients and team members
  • Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
  • Management of costs associated with each project
  • Identification and management of project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Take ownership and lead on our internal project management process and resource time tracking
  • Studio management responsibilities

Essential requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience managing digital projects
  • Ability to manage multiple digital projects
  • Experience of delivering projects using the Agile methodology (extra brownie points for experience of working with GDS Service Manual)
  • A real and demonstrable attention to detail
  • Experience of managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in working closely with designers and developers
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be independent, disciplined, self motivated, open, honest and flexible
  • Desirable: Project management qualifications - in particular Agile but also Prince II, APMP or similar.
