We currently have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative (Voids) to join our Regional Void Hub Team. Working out of either the Dartford Or Medway office covering the Essex area.

Within this role, you will be responsible for effecting repairs to the housing stock as required by the Client and will work effectively within a cohesive operations repairs service.

Working within in a busy repairs/voids team environment and reporting to the Mears call centre, you will report individual job actions from site to ensure maximum service delivery and high levels of resident satisfaction with the repairs service.  You will also enable a response to emergencies and other works as directed within the given time periods as laid down in the contract.

In addition, you will submit presentable and accurate paperwork which includes PDA data base information coupled with using SOR and descriptive works, in order to cost works which are being completed.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be a builder, multi skilled in Joinery, Brickwork, Plastering and DPC works. You should have relevant trade qualification or 5 years’ experience in 3 or more trades, preferably Glazing, Plumbing, Carpentry, Wet trades i.e. plastering/brickwork/tiling etc. Experience within social housing is also essential and you should be familiar with using a PDA.

With strong time management skills, the Multi Skilled Operative will have experience of preparing all paperwork including timesheets, accurate descriptions of work carried out, estimating repair requirements, trades alongside job coding and costing. Moreover, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the ability to succeed. Successful Operatives will also be added to the branch out of hours rota.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving licence
