Cunninghame Housing Association is the first Housing Association in Scotland (with more than 50 employees) to be awarded Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation and Investors in People Health & Wellbeing Good Practice Award. With more than 2,500 properties in North and East Ayrshire the Association plans to build circa 500 plus houses within the North, East and South Ayrshire areas over the next 5 years.

Cunninghame Housing Association are now looking to recruit 3 qualified Tradespeople and a General Operative to deliver their Resident Services Xtra service which is an arm of the Association’s subsidiary company, Citrus Energy Ltd. Resident Services Extra undertakes both planned and cyclical work in Association owned housing and commercial properties as well as carrying out a range of small repair works in the wider community.

We are looking to recruit the following positions:

Joiner (Fixed Term Until 31st March 2020)

Salary: £28,751 per annum 

35 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. (1.30 p.m. Friday)

Reporting to the Small Repairs Team Leader you will provide an efficient customer focused service, undertaking a range of Joinery repairs and improvement works for Resident Services Xtra clients. The main focus of the job is to joinery works within the Association’s own stock working primarily on the kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes and medical adaptation wet/shower rooms programme. The successful candidate must have experience of fitting kitchens and experience in a range of other handyperson type work (minor plastering, tiling for example) would be an advantage. The post holder must be self-motivated and confident with an approved trade qualification, using trade skills in a trade discipline with an awareness of current legislative and health and safety working practices. You should display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a small repairs team to ensure successful delivery of a quality small repair, maintenance and improvement service. (A full driving licence is essential for this post).
