We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work with the Technical Architect and Lead Infrastructure Engineer to deliver business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.

Proactive in your approach, you will be an effective member of the IT Infrastructure team and support in the implementation of technologies and platforms and supporting corporate voice and data networks. Ensuring high availability of corporate voice and data systems that support internal employee business functions you will also aid external customer contact.

Providing innovative technical expertise and knowledge of virtual infrastructures, including server and desktop virtualisation using VMware hypervisor you will also install, configure and manage virtual server and desktop infrastructures. This will include, SRM, HA and all core VMware components you will install, configure manage and maintain the SAN environment, including replication technologies, performance monitoring and remedial actions.

The successful candidate must have in-depth experience of managing and maintaining server systems along with desktop support in a Windows environment. In-depth knowledge of networking, including switches, routers, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and VPNs is also required. Experience of configuring and managing Virtualised server systems is essential.

The ability to organise your own workload, including setting priorities and meeting

deadlines and service standards is required.


This post will be based at the Group’s Head Office. There will be a requirement

to travel to other of the Group’s premises to undertake duties of this post and

attend meetings and training. A car and current driving licence will therefore be

required and insurance for business use (mileage will be reimbursed at the

prevailing rate.
