Multi-Trade Operative / Carpenter
Broxbourne
Full Time - Permanent
£25,907 - £28,785 per annum

B3Living is the largest independent housing association in the Borough of Broxbourne, providing over 4,600 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. Our mission is to build a range of homes for social rent, private rent and shared ownership to counteract the local housing crisis and shortage of homes in our area.

We are currently seeking for a Multi-Trade Operative to assist in the provision and delivery of efficient and effective repairs and maintenance service for voids, planned, cyclical and new build works; delivering value for money and customer satisfaction in line with B3Living values, objectives, standards and targets.

You will provide a quality maintenance service, completing all work safely and in line with current legislation, regulation, good practice and targets within the Property Team.

Effectively, you will carry out accurate repair diagnosis using specialist skills, respond to and undertake emergency calls, maintain an adequate van stock to enable minor repairs and ensure that all tools are safely operated, cleaned, securely stored and PAT tested.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of carpentry work and have a Multi-trade background. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative and prioritise and plan work effectively. Ideally, you will hold a Level 5 NVQ, City and Guilds or equivalent in an appropriate trade.  You must have a full UK driving licence.

This role is open to flexible working arrangements. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlements and a personal pension scheme. We believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, people with disabilities and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Due to the nature of the role, a DBS check is required.

Closing date: Tuesday 31st July 2018.
