Lecturer in Sport (maternity cover)

Full-time | Temporary | £23,001 to £33,018

An opportunity has arisen within the Sports team for an experienced full-time lecturer. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives and careers of our students. Ideally, candidates will have both experiences of teaching and of working in the sports industry, but whilst teaching experience would be a bonus, we are keen to hear from people with a high level of industry knowledge and career experience that they can impart to others.

You will join a vibrant and high performing team, teaching across a range of sport programmes within both FE and HE and sport Apprenticeships. The team and our students already benefit from excellent links with local employers, but any opportunity to further these links is always welcomed. We offer a supportive culture which offers excellent CPD (continuous professional development) opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young people and will be keen to encourage our students to aspire to achieve their goals. The candidate will possess good knowledge of IQA (internal quality assurance) systems and display essential team working skills; demonstrating how you share good practise, work collaboratively with colleagues, and achieve team targets - these are all qualities that we will be looking for in the successful candidate.

Teaching experience preferred; however, the College will support the right candidate to gain their teaching qualification.
