The Grounds and Sports Team is responsible for the high standards of maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens including formal and amenity areas.
Glasshouse and Nursery Worker (Ref. P47824)
The starting salary will be from £16,654 up to £18,777 on Grade C, depending on qualifications and experience.
This full time post is available from 1 August 2018 on a permanent basis.
The University has three glasshouses, propagation facilities and outdoor areas. These are used to produce bedding plants, maintain the national collection of Azara, produce plants for use in the landscape and support the floristry enterprise. You will have initial responsibility for all of these activities and have the opportunity to work with colleagues to develop and maximise the potential of this area of the business.
Ideally you will have commercial glasshouse and nursery work experience; being aware of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and good pest and disease knowledge.
