Management Accountant - Axminster - GBP25,000 - GBP30,000
An exciting opportunity to work at an internally recognised company in Axminster has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team.
Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing accurate monthly management accounts, including stock reports, costing and reporting on variances. This is a detailed and busy position with a lot of internal company liaison and data manipulation.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts
* Maintain accurate stock valuation report
* Calculate standard costs
* Report variances to standard costs
* Monitor stock movements and ensure data is correct
* Prepare weekly wages
* Assist in updating the cash flow document

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within an accounting function, either within management accounting and ideally with experience of stock control and costing. You will be an advanced user of Excel and very computer literature. Qualifications are less important than experience but you could be AAT or ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
