Our Client, a large aerospace engineering organisation is looking for Production Test Technician/Engineers to be based in Chesham on an initial 6 month contract.
Scope of role:
To prepare, prime and paint finish a range of aerospace products using appropriate methods, as defined by relevant manufacturing instructions.
Key Tasks & responsibilities:
- Test boards/modules/systems/instruments using manual and automated test systems.
- Diagnosing and repairing RF test instruments and Wireless equipment.
- Fault-finding to component level, using complex RF and digital circuits diagrams.
- Ensuring manual and electronic test records are complete and correct.
- Working to deadlines to achieve production delivery requirements.
- Follow company test procedures and documentation to ensure the required level of quality is achieved.
- Highlight any issues to manufacturing engineering and quality if required.
Essential Experience:
- Use of RF test and measurement instruments. RF signal generators, spectrum analysers, power meters, network analysers, etc.
- Fault finding to component level
Advantageous Experience:
- Previous RF experience
- SMT soldering/rework skills
Skill Set/Qualifications
- HNC in electronics or related technical subject
- Awareness of Health and safety in a manufacturing test environment
- Awareness of ESD precautions in an electronics environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- PC literate with good office software skills

- A well organised and self-motivated individual, able to multitask and work on own initiative.
Individuals should be able to work as part of a busy team and have an awareness of Processes and Business Improvement.
You will be working with sensitive data and as such you should be willing to undergo BPSS (Baseline) & Disclosure Barring Service Security Vetting before being able to commence the contract.
