Position Description Overview

Bid Management sits at the heart of First Data's Sales Operations. You will assist with the creation, writing and reviewing of proposals, RFP's and pitch documents out to prospects and clients as well as managing smaller opportunities as the need arises, these activities will be completed in line with First Data's well defined Bid Management process and you will be working closely with the sales lead and other stakeholders through the lifecycle of a deal (pre-sales through to handover to project delivery). The Bid Management environment is fast-paced and, at times, frenetic as the team work together to deliver compelling responses to detailed client requirements and teamwork under-pins the success of the team.

Job Responsibilities

• You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the bid is delivered on-time and will: • Lead cross functional teams comprised of sales, IT development/delivery, product, legal and finance to manage end-to-end Bid Management process from pre-sales, initial sales opportunity qualification through to formal RFP/RFI/proposal submission including bid team construction, roles and responsibilities, deliverables timeline and approval processes for large, strategic and complex deals • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders • Question and challenge inputs to the proposal looking through the 'customers' eyes' • Write/author parts of the proposal/RFI/RFP, including technical responses • Assist with the creation of deal storyboards including USPs and win themes/competitor assessment • Question and challenge inputs to the proposal looking through the 'customers' eyes' • Coaching, support and mentoring will be provided by Senior Bid Manager(s), Director, Head of Bid Management and wider Bid Management team and you will have the opportunity to attend client meetings and follow the progress of your Bid through the sales process, in return you will be committed to delivering high quality output at all times.
