This is a very exciting time to be joining Paradigm Housing Group. With 14,000 properties, a turnover of £115m and a substantial development and sales programme of more than 600 homes per annum, we are making the most of our many opportunities in a challenging but rewarding environment.

We have a clear and ambitious view of where we are as an organisation and where we need to get to; providing more homes for people who need them by running an efficient and successful business.

We are currently seeking a Head of Land and Planning to create and lead a team of professional and technical staff to progress land opportunities through planning and technical due diligence. This will enable recommendations to be made for the acquisition of sites for development that will achieve the Group’s Development Strategy in terms of growth targets and required tenure mix.

You will effectively work with with architectural, planning and valuation consultants to optimise the development potential of sites, maximising revenue potential and proposing schemes that will achieve the quality and sustainability aspirations of the Group. Further to this you will engage with Local Authority partners in pursuing residential development that meets housing need and achieves the aims of their Local Plans.

To be successful in this role you are required to possess a relevant degree and/or qualification relating to building, surveying or planning. Substantial experience of successful land acquisition (ideally with experience from both private sector and RP developers) and delivering demonstrable results at scale in a similar commercial environment is essential. Demonstrable experience of managing risks associated with land acquisition along with experience of change management are also required.

This is a great opportunity to join us at a time when you can have a real and personal impact on the future success of our business.

At Paradigm, we work hard, strive for excellence and in return we offer a great place to work with an attractive range of benefits such as Health Cash Plan, bonus potential, competitive pension options and generous holiday entitlement in addition to 3 days closure at Christmas as well as supporting flexible ways of working. We welcome applications from all sections of the communities we work in.

Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
