Jon Thorner’s Ltd started in 1976, with one simple idea; offer good food, locally sourced. 

We started off with one farm shop and have since grown with a franchise of butchery counters and are now supplying orders to customers both Retail and Catering throughout the West Country with locally sourced fresh meat, cooked meats and handmade foods.

We currently have a vacancy for the following position

Chef – duties to include

  • To produce and prepare, following company procedures and recipes, fillings to produce our award winning pies.
  • Supervise and oversee the activity of the kitchen when required.
  • Assist with the storage and labelling of ingredients.
  • Take a high level of individual responsibility regarding all health and safety regulations and systems, maintaining a high level of safety, hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Complete and record accurately all paperwork. Be flexible and adapt to work requirements as necessary.
  • To carry out any other reasonable request that is made of you by Jon Thorner Management.

This position requires

  • Qualifications of City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to complete record sheets and paperwork accurately.
  • A reasonable level of fitness as the job is ‘on its feet all day’

Hours :-  40 hours per week 9am to 5pm over 6 days to include Saturdays on a rota
