This role involves developing warm and trusting relationships with people with learning disabilities and we are looking for you to provide support to people living in the community. If you feel that you can make a real difference to the more vulnerable in society, adding value to peoples’ lives and working with them to achieve their goals then this role is for you.

Ideal Candidate

  • You will have excellent listening and communication skills, be enthusiastic and resourceful, and be willing to learn and develop good practice, working as part of a team to deliver high quality support service.
  • Confident to lone work after in-depth induction.
  • Need to demonstrate a good standard of written, verbal and numeric skills, as well as good basic IT skills.
  • You will liaise with internal and external agencies and advocate on behalf of the service users where required.

You will be required to work early and late shifts, alternate weekends and take part in the on-call service.
