Our client has some exciting opportunities for experienced Maintenance Engineers with mechanical and electrical experience to join them in Preston.

The job:

• Maintain and Repair plant equipment, tools and systems
• Conduct periodic maintenance checks, equipment upgrades and machinery modifications
• Identify faults, investigate equipment breakdowns and monitor equipment performance.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and fix faults (or arrange for replacements)

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role and a recognised engineering qualification, either City and Guilds, BTEC HNC/HND etc.
• Understand engineering drawings and principles
• Good practical and technical knowledge.
• Experience in FMCG (and ideally with Liquid Filling machinery, capping machines, pumps, steam systems, conveyors, pneumatics, electrics, HMIs, SCADA batching systems, tig welding, basic robotics, panel building)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and fault diagnosis
• Work well under pressure and be familiar with Health and Safety.

The successful candidate must be flexible to cover the twilight shift, 4.30pm to 11.45pm, in order to cover holidays.
